US CUSTOMS MANAGER
Key Responsibilities

• Manage the Customs & Trade Compliance program in the US for the purpose of mitigating risk to the company.
• Monitors the regulatory environment and develops a strategy for responding to new or amended legislation.
• Build a strong, motivated team capable of consistently delivering high quality products
• Maintain a culture that prioritizes quality through communication, action, and accountability
• Manage day to day operations of the production, process improvement, supply chain and delivery
• Develops and delivers compliance-related training sessions.
• Perform gap analysis in process and procedures and develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures as needed
• Support issue resolution including root cause investigation & an environment of continuous learning and improvement
• Able to conduct pre-classification activities, support oversight of all classification activities, and improve processes through post audit classification activities.
• Responsible for implementation and sustainment of duty drawback program through record retention initiatives and government requirements.

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar position
• Strong management ability within Customs Ops, Staff Processes and Regulatory Systems
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Office and applications, Cargowise experience a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Written and verbal fluency in English
• Outgoing personality; high energy; flexible
• Great attitude and desire to work hard while having fun!
• Must be a Licensed Customs Broker to be considered for this role
• Experience with drawbacks is an asset

This is a full-time permanent position from Monday to Friday.
Traffic Tech has implemented preventative measures and safety precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of all persons entering Traffic Tech facilities. For example, upon arrival masks are mandatory, employees are greeted by our in-house full-time health screeners, social distancing is maintained in all common areas (6ft/2m), hand sanitizer stations are strategically spaced out around the office, there is a restricted flow of traffic within the office to avoid interdepartmental spreads or outbreaks, and increased cleaning of all office spaces and warehouses.
