Job Description

U.S. Cyber & Technology Product Leader

Summary: Leads the product efforts for Lockton's U.S. Cyber & Technology Practice by bringing strong knowledge of and expertise in the cyber and technology E&O product and insurance markets, to our clients. In this role, you will manage Lockton's insurer relationships, develop market leading products for Lockton clients, support broking teams by serving as lead coverage expert, and work with Lockton's claims, risk consulting and data and analytics leaders on cyber solutions to advance Lockton's success in a key growth product.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct policy form reviews to provide technical expertise on cyber insurance policies and communicate with all brokers and cyber leaders to keep them abreast and educated around changes in carrier forms, underwriting appetite, and capacity

• Develop industry specific product offerings and work with experienced segment specialists on the development of unique industry specific solutions, e.g., private equity, healthcare, financial institutions

• Lead all efforts related to policy language, including but not limited to updating all Lockton proprietary forms, developing and improving forms, endorsements and amendments, and training all brokers on updates and revisions

• Keep all forms libraries current in Lockton's Knowledge Library

• Host round table discussions for brokers to discuss market activity, emerging trends, coverage changes, product offerings, and capacity

• Engage with new market entrants about product offerings, capacity, and appetite

• Conduct market surveys with trading partners and prepare timely report to broking teams regarding same

• Ensure that Lockton's Cyber & Technology Risk Application is supported by key trading partners and continuously work to ensure that it is enhanced for exceptional client experience

• Work with Lockton's Small Business Solutions Leader to ensure consistent and seamless client experience

• Collaborate with cyber practitioners in Lockton's global offices on product development and coverage reviews

• Collaborate with other Lockton disciplines to address issues and trends around cyber as a peril

• Collaborate with claims, risk consulting and data & analytics to analyze product performance and emerging trends

• Develop fundamentals and advanced training series to build product awareness and develop technical skills and acumen

• Work with Lockton's global offices to develop formal training academy

• Support brokers in RFPs as Lockton's senior coverage expert on the cyber and tech E&O products

• Represent Lockton at industry events, including but not limited to speaking engagements, writing thought leadership, and hosting carriers on behalf of Lockton

Skills Qualifications

Required:

  • Ability to lead and manage highly skilled information and cyber security professionals
  • Knowledge of security operations practices including detection, prevention, response, and recovery
  • Ability to process and understand complex information relevant to cyber security initiatives
  • Ability to define strategies and roadmaps, lead design and implementation of security operations solutions across the organization
  • Ability to manage and drive multiple projects to grow and strengthen security operations
  • Understanding of the NIST CSF framework and other associated cyber security standards
  • Extensive knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance standards and requirements such as NYDFS, GDPR, CCRA, SOC2, and CCPA as it pertains to security operations.
  • Preferred:
  • CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA or other security management certification

Education

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cyber Security, Computer Science, or another related field
  • 8-10 years' experience in security operations, incident response, SIEM
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills capable of managing projects that drive business objectives
  • Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Solid understanding of a range of compliance, regulatory and legal requirements and relevant principles, best practices, and standards across insurance and financial services industry
  • Ability to drive team outcomes through tight deadlines and prioritization of tasks

Preferred:

  • Master's degree preferred
  • Insurance and financial services industry experience is a plus
