US Treasuries Settlement Associate

The Role

We are seeking a U.S. Treasury Settlement Associate to join our middle office team. The U.S. Treasury Settlement Associate is responsible for providing operational support to the U.S. Treasury markets through MarketAxess, and ensuring accurate and efficient settlements.

How You'll Help Take Us There

• Monitor cash projections and settlements throughout the day in order to help handle the firm’s overall liquidity position
• Review wire payments that have been input by processors for accuracy and appropriateness, ultimately approving and releasing
• Develop an understanding of the systems that support settlement to identify potential operational issues; alongside technical support staff, streamline and increase proficiency when possible
• Monitor and action reconciliation in multiple systems on all levels (position, security, money)
• Ensure positions are aligned and resolve any position breaks
• Resolve Fails and Unmatched trades in a timely fashion
• Ensure FOBO, NSCC, GSCC, Ex-Clearing, and Fail Report is updated daily with accurate commentary

What We’re Looking for  

• 4+ years of experience in a corporate Treasury environment
• Proficiency in MS suite, particularly Excel and Word
• Knowledge of BMO Online Banking and Shadow preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to communicate with various levels of management
• Keen attention to detail and an eye for identifying errors

For job positions in NYC, NY, and other locations where required, the estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $70,000 USD to $100,000 USD. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. You may also be eligible for annual cash incentives, equity, and other benefit programs.
