Senior Distinguished Technical Architect
In this role you will report to the VP of Data Ventures, Global Tech and join a diverse team of technologists who are devoted to meeting the evolving needs of our millions of customers and associates.
You will be expected to:

• Evangelize our architectural blueprints by leading the creation and evolution of an integrated architecture program based on business and customer needs. Architectural responsibility for a engineering/PD teams for a cross cutting technological concerns (data performance, resiliency, etc)
• Partner closely with senior product management and offer strategies that take good advantage of technological opportunities and are technological pragmatic, and accordingly evaluate build-buy-partner decisions for bringing new capabilities to drive building of brand-new capabilities form concept to launch.
• Demonstrating the business value of architecture as an enabler for business strategy implementation and technology innovation measuring and monitoring milestones for reliability, efficiency, security, operational excellence, and cost optimization
• Improve our technology environment by researching and analyzing industry trends and best practices
• Benchmarking industry against internal processes and solutions defining software development guidelines, standards, and processes sponsoring, developing, and influencing continuous improvement initiatives and experiments with innovative technologies evaluating and negotiating with external vendors and services
• Oversee large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects by translating strategies and requirements into technical solutions
• Directing and reviewing architectural artifacts (for example, proofs of concept, prototypes, architectural designs) communicating status and issues to engineering and product leaders as well as other stakeholders.
• Providing technical and thought leadership to the development teams. Partner closely with engineering directors and spanned engineering managers to recruit, develop and retain the teams engineering staffs or experts in the owned cross cutting area.

We hope you have:

• Extensive experience in the design, development, and delivery of software products with a large customer base, preferably in the data and analytics space.
• Strong track record in an architect role with large-scale software development data backed services and products
• A clear vision for architecture design and great communication skills to articulate that to all levels of stakeholders
• Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to balance conflicting interests in a complex and fast-paced environment
• Thorough understanding of distributed technologies, public cloud technologies, Data Architectures, and data structures and algorithms
• Experience working with geographically distributed teams
• Business acumen; combining technical vision with business insights
• Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
