USC Product Owner
Job Description
PURPOSE STATEMENT
Work closely with Business Unit Leaders to identify and translate business requirements into user stories and drive solutions as part of the global roadmap by partnering with the technology development teams.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/OUTCOMES
- Collaborate with Global and other Product Owners to prioritize the global backlog according to business value and alignment with strategy, partnering with the global process owner.
- Ensure Business Unit alignment and transparency regarding global product roadmap.
- Work closely with Business Unit Leaders and customers in translating business needs into user stories that will deliver a simple, standard, and global solution.
- Create solution focused user stories with complete descriptions and acceptance criteria, that are tied to project value drivers.
- Providing vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements
- Support business metrics that tie to adoption, tool enhancements and ultimately business metrics, customer lifetime value, lead to close time, etc.
- Champion product value and data cleanliness by working closely with data stewards, cross-functional teams, and business unit stakeholders.
- Consistently hold a healthy backlog of work that can be prioritized and keep the development team working at peak capacity.
- Lead the planning, product release and post launch performance efforts regionally by partnering with the global OCM/adoption manager.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders, including IS, marketing, analytics, and finance.
- Translates product roadmap goals into well-defined product requirements including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria
- Support the Global Process Owner with implementation of the global sales process within the region, ensure regional processes are aligned with the global standard, responsible for region-specific sub-processes as needed
- Monitor process metrics for the region to identify improvement opportunities and collaborate with the Global Process Owner to make recommendations for improvements to the global standard process
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE• 3 years previous working experience on an Agile development team preferred• 3 years prior experience working in a fast-paced sales environment• Bachelor's degree in business or related required• In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles • Excellent organizational and time management skills• Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills• Attention to details
