UX RESEARCHWhat We Do

Our team of UX researchers provide rigorous research support and insights for all of our games and products. Our goal is to be the voice of our players and users, and help the designer-intended experience for them be realized.

USER EXPERIENCE RESEARCH INTERNWhat You'll Do

We are looking for a User Researcher Intern to join the User Experience Research Team. As part of the team, you will work closely with experienced UX Researchers to conduct research on our game and non-game products and help us find unintended friction, inform decisions, and confirm and find the awesome for our players and users.

In this role, you will

  • Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative user research tests for all Epic Games products
  • Own the research process from screening participants to defining test plans, analyzing the data, and writing reports
  • Choose and define appropriate metrics that reflect the quality of user experience as well as the impact of design changes
  • Effectively communicate methodologies and results, focusing on actionable recommendations
  • Moderation of various types of consumer tests, including usability and general playtests
  • Ability to generate new methodologies that will pertain to each product’s unique gameplay and sensibility
  • Explore new tools and process improvements to constantly improve how the User Experience team functions and delivers value

What we're looking for

  • A degree in Human Factors, Human Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, Cognitive Science, or related field.
  • A passion for games and games user experience
  • Passionate and knowledgeable about research methodology
  • Strong behavioral observation skill
  • Comfortable and skilled with technology and software
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Curious and creative; enjoy complex issues and problem-solving
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to quickly build rapport, and establish credibility
  • Thrives in a collaborative work environment and asks questions when needed, but is also able to work independently

This internship has a flexible start date in 2025. Recruitment will be ongoing until teams find an ideal match.
