The role:Â
- The User Experience Researcher will work with our users to better understand teachers' and students' interactions and behaviors on Newsela.
- You will conduct qualitative and quantitative research to inform and evaluate current and new features, products, and experiences.Â
- Additionally, you will evaluate the competitive landscape, existing customer journeys, and user goals to understand the needs of our users and inform product roadmap.

Why you’re a great fit:
- You have 3+ years of experience in testing experience and survey design, and you have proven knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and tools, with experience implementing them.Â
- You have demonstrated success in empathizing deeply with users and fiercely advocate from their perspective.Â
- You are able to leverage your collaboration with other researchers, designers, product managers, and marketing to ensure research you deliver is integrated into every aspect of the product and provides a holistic view of our users.
- You can synthesize multiple inputs (reporting data, metrics, qualitative, and quantitative insights) to arrive at recommendations that deliver user-focused outcomes for the team.
- You have experience integrating user research into product design practices.
- You also have exceptional communication and storytelling skills, constant attention to detail, a positive attitude, an open mind, and a passion for teamwork and collaboration.
- You have a portfolio of work samples focused on UX Research and Testing.
Base compensation range: $95,000 - $110,000. Total compensation for this role also includes incentive stock options and benefits. This compensation range may be adjusted based on actual experience.Â
