User Experience / User Interface CO-OP / Intern (Spring 2023)

Bevi is on a mission to disrupt the beverage supply chain and replace single-use water bottles with smart water machines. Thousands of companies use Bevi to sustainably provide their employees with pure, sparkling, and flavored water at work. As the market leader in IoT-enabled beverage machines, we’ve raised over $160M in venture capital and we’re doubling year over year. In addition to maintaining hypergrowth with our current product line, Bevi is heavily investing in new product development.

We are seeking a User Experience/User Interface Intern to join Bevi’s product team. This role reports to the Senior UI/UX Designer. The UI/UX Intern will conduct user research, analyze, and present findings. The UI/UX Intern will work closely with the Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to understand the needs of people who drink from and service Bevi machines and software and ideate appropriate experiences.

As the UI/UX/User Research Intern at Bevi, you will:

• Grow in user-centered design processes under 1-1 mentorship on our team
• Work across software, hardware, design, and beverage disciplines
• Complete a research project to inform new products
• Design for 10k+ existing touchscreen machines and unreleased products

Requirements

• Student or recent grad in studying User Experience Design, Human Factors, Experimental Psychology, Cognitive Science, Digital Design, Illustration, Visual Communications, Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), Graphic Design or related discipline or similar experince
• Graduating in Spring 2023, 2024
• Experience utilizing user research and/or design methodologies
• A portfolio or example project to present to our interview team

Additional skills: (nice-to-have)

• Past experience (internship, co-op, freelance) in a similar role
• Proficient in Google Suite (Slides, Sheets, Calendar, Gmail)
• Visual skills
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects), Sketch, Figma, or other similar design tools
• The ability to work independently in a remote capacity, as well as within a team environment
• Strong analytical skills
• Curious about exploring and solving problems, has the ability to brainstorm solutions, and demonstrates consistent follow-through
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excited to explore new subjects or learn skills that are unfamiliar but necessary to get the job done.
• Passionate about delivering best-in-class quality to customers and stakeholders
