Job Description

The Utility Worker / Dishwasher- under direct supervision, performs general service tasks in food production and cafeteria retail space. Performs a variety of tasks including but not limited to providing collecting used dishes, loading dish-washing machines, organizing clean dishes, maintain daily weekly & monthly sanitation guidelines, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace.

Job Responsibilities

• Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
• Load and unload dishwashing machines
• Store and clean dishes and equipment according to instructions
• Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses, and utensils especially during peak meal periods
• Stocks and replenishes merchandise and paper goods
• Receives, stores, and examines foodstuffs and supplies to ensure quality and quantity meet established standards
• Follows daily, weekly, & monthly sanitation schedules
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with department and local regulatory procedures, rules, and regulations
• Dispose and maintain garbage and recycling regularly
• Assists with catering special events (prepares and serves food, brews coffee, prepares snacks and paper goods, prepares facilities, maintains safe and clean serving area)
• Maintains all working areas as needed including but not limited to cleaning drains, organizing storage rooms, and other general cleaning tasks
• Maintains large-volume cooking equipment including but not limited to grills, deep fryers, slicers, and/or griddles
• Complies with all local, state and federal regulations
• Maintains all records and reports necessary to comply with local regulatory food safety standards
• Maintains friendly attitude towards customers, co-workers, and clients

• Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent Preferred
• 0 ? 1 Years of Customer Service Experience Preferred
• Must be able to follow written and verbal directions
• Must be able to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to walk and stand for extended time periods, up to 6 hours
• Requires repetitive motion
• Requires working with chemicals, heated equipment, and steam
• This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
