The roleAgile Six is looking for a User Experience Content Designer/Researcher to join a top-tier, remote, self-driven agile team that includes designers, content strategists, researchers, and engineers. Your first project will be to advocate for the diverse user base of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) clinician-facing Quality Payment Program (QPP). This team collaborates closely with other contractors and CMS stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement content design and research activities collaboratively with the team.
- Observe users at various touch points throughout the experience, identifying pain points and problem areas and proposing changes and improvements to the experience.
- Analyze and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to generate meaningful insights and behavioral patterns to inform content design and strategy.
- Clearly articulate your content design vision through verbal and written explanations, presentations, concept sketching or quick mock-ups to diverse groups, from designers to the leadership team.
- Create content in plain language to simplify the experience through complex systems.
- Collaborate with product owners and leaders to support content strategy and design in the development roadmap.
- Build trustworthy relationships with team members and external stakeholders across a wide variety of disciplines and departments to involve everyone in the discovery process and findings.
- Facilitate workshops with groups of clients and stakeholders to discover insights and thoroughly understand all aspects and constraints of the problem space.
- Work closely with researchers and designers contributing to the improvement of the content design quality and final user experience.
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant experience or 4+ years of experience coupled with a relevant degree
- At least 3 years of experience in content design/research in collaboration with cross-functional digital product or service teams
- Demonstrated experience analyzing/dissecting complex systems in order to quickly identify pain points, bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Experience conducting user research, creating personas, and designing intuitive interfaces in order to consistently and efficiently integrate content designs that meet user needs.
- Portfolio illustrating your process and samples of native product or service design work driven by quantitative and qualitative user research.
- Understands human centered design, interaction design fundamentals, and UI design best practices, including accessibility and inclusivity.
- Proficient in Sketch, Figma and modern prototyping tools.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners and other designers, seeking and providing feedback in an agile environment.
- Eager to learn, experiment and innovate.
- Curious, adaptive, empathetic, collaborative, fearless and holds a positive mindset.
- Ability to take initiative in solving complex problems.
- Excellent presentation, storytelling, and facilitation skills to engage and collaborate with clients, particularly in a workshop setting.
- Ability to create and communicate an elevated design point of view regarding insights, latest trends, topics and technologies.
- Transforms data and findings into actionable, plain language recommendations to simplify the experience.
- Has lived and worked in the United States for 3 out of the last 5 years
Additional desired qualifications
- Familiarity with the US Web Design System
- Experience working with government agencies
- You are a U.S. Veteran

The salary for this position is $129,210 - $135,836
