You will be challenged to create innovative experiences by identifying and setting product strategies, envisioning complex UX ecosystems, guiding design processes, and mentoring multi-faceted designers in your team.

You are committed to creating elegantly simple user experiences from otherwise complex workflows esp. in the health & wellness domain.

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of experience in UX Design, designing and shipping products to market.
  • 2 years of experience in managing or leading design teams.
  • A portfolio of relevant design work, executed either by yourself or a team that you led, that demonstrates systems thinking and high-quality design work.
  • A user-centered and iterative approach to designing software for people.
  • Experience working with researchers, engineers and product managers to drive strategy, vision, and execution.
  • Comfortable juggling a wide range of responsibilities at the same time.
  • Strong time-management, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present a strong rationale for design decisions.
  • A positive attitude, empathy, open mind, and a desire to collaborate.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship for a team of Interaction, Product, Visual and Motion Designers.
  • Collaborate with the design team to translate complex problems into simple, elegant and minimal solutions.
  • Give feedback in design critiques and coach your team through challenges.
  • Lead the design process for your team—from problem definition to design implementation.
  • Partner with product, engineering, and research to ensure projects are well-defined, high impact, and successfully executed.
  • Consider target audience and design for accessibility and ease of use.
  • Maintain cultural awareness of the design landscape with respect to current and future trends.
  • Lead creative and holistic thinking across diverse product releases, platforms, and devices.
  • Grow the design team by attracting and hiring new talent.
