UX Design Practice Lead
Job Description
Callibrity is based in Cincinnati, OH, Columbus, OH and Chicago, IL. This role may be virtual, remote-based but must work U.S. Eastern Time work hours. Highest consideration will be given to candidates local to and/or those willing to relocate to either the Cincinnati, Columbus or Chicago areas. Will not consider non-US based candidates or Corp to Corp candidates.

The UX Design Practice Lead is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to build a best of breed user experience team by defining standards, guidelines, best practices, processes and determining how the user experience team interacts with other groups. Advising and making actionable recommendations to external client stakeholders and business groups on strategic "voice of the customer" topics to develop a world class user experience. Acting as the owner of the customer experience and an advocate for the end user in the development of the philosophy and vision for our consulting firm.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborating with client stakeholders, technical, service design and design research teams to define and implement the ideal end-user experience over multiple form factors.
- Managing a team of user experience professionals charged with re-inventing consumer centric digital experiences.
- Directing and providing oversight to the user experience team, which designs and safeguards the optimal information architecture, taxonomy, navigation, task flow and ease of use for the digital experience.
- Developing overall guidelines and procedures that govern the user experience, as well as developing collaborative, efficient and innovative work practices.
- Acting as a coach, mentor, connector and consensus builder is key in this senior-level role within our global enterprise.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Human Computer Interaction/Computer Science/Digital Design or comparable experience
- Demonstrable knowledge in the fields of UX Design, interaction design, information architecture, user/design research techniques, usability testing, the user-centered design process, graphic and visual design, and/or experience creating appropriate design deliverables
- A portfolio showcasing successful projects and a strong understanding of user-centered design principles
- Experience working in client-facing consulting environments
- Solid knowledge of scoping of work for UX/mobile/web
- Strong prototyping, wireframing and high-fidelity mockups experience
- Experience managing or leading teams of UX professionals charged with re-inventing consumer centric digital experiences for external clients
- Experience directing and providing oversight to Callibrity re: user experience best practice, which designs and safeguards the optimal information architecture, taxonomy, navigation, task flow and ease of use for the consulting firms digital experience.
- Knowledge of web technologies to include: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, as well as an understanding of their capabilities and limitations
- Experience with SPA, Adaptive Web design and responsive web design
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong collaboration skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in the US without sponsorship
