UX Designer

Our Toyota Connected UX/UI team is looking for UX Designers who can partner with Agile teams working in the Mobility, NFT, or Metaverse spaces.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with product owners to shape and deliver features. This includes giving the right context to critical customer needs to make sure your team can accurately prioritize their roadmap
• Own delivery of features from concept to development handoff
• Create interactive design solutions, IA workflows to high-fidelity UI mocks, and prototypes
• Perform user testing to validate your ideas
• Contribute to a growing visual system across global products
• Work side-by-side with a talented team of UX developers to build world-class experiences
• Work as part of a team-oriented, Agile software engineering environment

Required Qualifications:

• You have an online portfolio that showcases your UX Design work. We’ll also accept PDFs for more sensitive work
• 3+ years of experience in UX Design or a similar design field
• Be able to explain your thoughts on usability, engagement and business / user needs to anyone outside of the UX team in a way that they can easily understand
• Demonstrate and be able to speak to your understanding of end-to-end design, including information architecture, usability testing, layout, typography, and visual hierarchy
• Strong grasp of design decisions across multiple platforms and screen sizes
• You’re completely comfortable using current digital design tools (Figma is what we use but experience with any design tool works for us)
• Hands on experience applying current best practices and principles in design
• Demonstrates problem-solving, troubleshooting, decision making skills
• Solutions oriented with the ability to think outside the box of conventional solutions
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to develop healthy working relationships and collaborate with peers and leaders
• Exhibits integrity and high standards in work quality
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Values diversity and differences amongst individuals in interactions

Added Bonus if you have:

• You have shipped native mobile app and web experiences
• Experience in rapid prototyping
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
• Experience working closely with front-end and mobile developers
• Experience in motion design with examples of work that best highlights your skills
• Experience using 3D toolsets
• Experience designing products for multiple languages
• We think the knowledge acquired earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Design (or related field) would be of great value in this position, but if you're smart and have the experience that backs up your abilities, for us, talent trumps degree every time
