Description

We are looking for a UX designer (4-6 years of experience) to join our mission driven team. As an integral part of the Product team you will join forces with the Director, Product Design (to whom you will also report) in our continued effort to inspire people to eat more plants!

We are looking for candidates who understand business requirements and technical limitations. As a UX designer, you'll be on a design team working to create a highly usable and desirable product for our customers. You'll iterate on designs based on business objectives, customer feedback, or usability findings. You will be responsible for user testing and use all your design skills (interaction, visual, storytelling, etc.) to ensure a great user experience!

  • Purple Carrot HQ is in Needham, MA and prefers local candidates to work in a hybrid model.

On the Plate

  • Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.
  • Experience integrating data into your design decisions
  • Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design
  • A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability, and accessibility concerns.
  • Develop prototypes to help communicate and define design interactions and user flows.
  • A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design and design thinking.
  • Be passionate about resolving user pain points through great design.
  • Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design and innovation. Research and showcase knowledge of the industry's latest trends and technologies.

Main Ingredients for the Role

  • Experience designing iOS and web applications using Figma design system
  • Ability to quickly create wireframes and rough designs to internally validate ideas
  • Successfully Design within an Agile or Scaled Agile process
  • Develop and test wireframes to validate new ideas
  • Conduct surveys and other UX research efforts to understand the needs of our customers better
  • Document and communicate the user experience
  • Experience collaborating with engineers and product managers
  • A great team player who is always willing to provide and receive constructive feedback!
  • Ability to work in ambiguous environments and drive outcomes
