As the UX Designer, you bridge the customer experience to the business.UX designers build useful products that improve people's lives. They create the interactions between humans and digital experiences.For them the user always comes first.Through research and co-creative design workshops, they identifypainpoints,unmet needs, and areas of opportunity thatlead to ideas, concepts and prototypes.
You've been called an information architect and designer, but you're also an anthropologist and psychologist. You observe user behavior, listen to what users' say, empathize with their joy and pain that you translate into relevant, interactive experiences tailored to the context.
You manage user experience design pre-sales activities from design thinking innovation workshops to prototype development. That voice in the room is your voice, leading the user experience conversation with clients - inspiring their thinking and architecting concepts to help land the next big deal.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Act as a go-to human-centered design expert in the Manufacturing (incl Automotive), Logistics, Utilities & Energy (MLEU) Vertical
- Be the voice in the room to evangelize HCD with internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to the BD effort, supporting RFP and pitch creation across DX opportunities within the MLEU vertical
- Provide ideas and feedback to fuel DX opportunities with clients in the MLEU vertical
- Organize diverse data sets and varied content types into innovative ideas and design concepts that are intuitive and easy for users to understand
- Present design mock-ups/prototypes and ideas to internal teams and client stakeholders in pre-sales efforts
- Design and facilitate successful presentations and workshops for senior executive level clients
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple BD efforts
- Contribute to pre-sales, scoping, client reviews and negotiations
What you'll need:
- 5+years of Interaction design experience or related designdiscipline
- A college degree in UX Design, or related field of study
- Proven client-facing role experience
- Strong information architecture experience
- Experience working with large teams within an agile workflow
- Current with user experience design patterns, trends, and best practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Well-versed in web accessibility guidelines and compliance
- Proficiency with modern prototyping tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, and Figma (or equivalent)
- Strong client leadership and facilitation skills with the ability to command and guide a room
- Industry experience in Automotive or Utilities
- Design thinking and diverse strategic/experience design skill set, with a focus on digital experiences
- Proficient in personas, design principles, user journeys, and service blueprints
- Experience in ideation activities including opportunity identification and analysis, segmentation, and product and business model definition
- Note: Currently travel is not a requirement; would expect up to 25% as business requirements change
