As a UX Designer at Roadie, you’ll lead and execute the entire UX process - not just a part of it. You’ll create massively impactful features and experiences - not just a piece of them. You’ll talk to the people that use your solutions - every week. Your work will be released to your users - every week.Â
You’ll be the primary UX Designer for Roadie’s internal systems, our in-ward facing set of tools used to improve employees efficiency and productivity when resolving queries from internal and external customers. From designing new features and workflows to implementing usability enhancements, your work will help ensure our employees provide a consistent, high-quality customer experience in an efficient way.
What You’ll Do- Partner closely with the Product Managers for Roadie’s internal systems to fully understand the user journey, potential gaps, and opportunitiesÂ
- Use business requirements and usability findings to develop scenarios, use cases, and high-level requirements
- Design conceptual wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, information architecture diagrams, interaction specifications, and functional prototypes
- Translate abstract yet technical concepts into simple and elegant user interfaces
- Present design work to the user experience team and product team for review and feedback
- Develop and nurture relationships across teams and disciplines to promote collaboration and efficiency
- Energize the product and design teams through domain expertise, curiosity, feedback, and inspiration
- An inherent curiosity and passion for solving customer problems
- 2+ years’ experience as a User Experience Designer in a fast-paced cross-functional environment
- A passion for turning complex problems into simple and engaging solutions
- An innate understanding of the end-to-end design process - from identifying customer needs and pain points to delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Strong visual design competency
- The ability to apply insights and metrics to inform design decisions and influence the product roadmap
- Comfort with an iterative design process that includes receiving and implementing feedback
- Competence in relevant design and prototyping tools
- Strong systems thinker with the ability to connect the dots across the entire customer ecosystem
- Strong collaboration and self-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to clearly & succinctly present concepts to the broader team
- Experience in being a strategic partner to product teams and idea forming
