UX Designer

(Note: This is a work from home position! Night shift hours at 10PM to 6AM PH time.)

Job Summary

The user experience (UX) designer will be responsible for understanding the company’s business requirements, as well as conducting user research and surveys to gain insight, and then translating those goals and learnings into mockups and prototypes, user flows, and customer journey maps. The UX designer will also be expected to design the overall functionality of the product and iterate upon it per user testing to ensure a great user experience. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Identify design problems and devise elegant and creative solutions that lead to an intuitive user experience (e.g. usability)
• Understand goals and objectives behind website improvement requests to build mockups & prototypes using best practices, modern design principles, and knowledge of user psychology
• Conduct user testing and surveys to assess user experience and ease of design and drive changes in new features, mockups, and prioritization
• Work with other designers, the Director of Product & Marketing, and the development team to identify and manage new projects throughout the process until complete
• Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends

Requirements

• Two to three (2-3) years of demonstrated experience in creating and implementing UX design
• Strong portfolio of design projects
• Great understanding of design tools and resources (ex. Figma)
• Experience in project management and research
• Ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently
• A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design and design thinking
• Analytical mind with a business acumen
• Excellent communication skills

Additional Valuable Skills: 

• Experience creating storyboards and website mapping
• Knowledge in coding and ability to troubleshoot using HTML/CSS
