UX Designer

The UX Designer will be responsible for creating new, intuitive, and engaging web experiences, or iteratively improving and redesigning existing experiences for Verisign’s marketing websites and web applications. In this role, the UX designer will work closely with other UX designers, web developers, marketing managers, user researchers and be responsible for everything from concepting, wireframing, and rapid prototyping to designing high-fidelity mockups with specifications for handoff to our development partners.

The ideal candidate must understand user-centered design methods, will be self-directed and have strong problem-solving skills. This role may also assist members of Verisign’s UX and Creative Services team to support a variety of UX, marketing, and internal initiatives including web publishing, advertising and production projects and tasks.

Requirements: 

• 5+ years of experience designing task flow diagrams, site maps, low-fidelity wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and clickable prototypes for responsive websites and web apps, as well as preparing detailed design specifications for development teams
• Proficiency with UX design and rapid prototyping tools including Adobe XD, Figma and/or Sketch as well as Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Ability to synthesize user data, business objectives, and creative direction and feedback into the next iteration of designs
• Ability to tell clear and persuasive stories that describe the path taken to arrive at design decisions to audiences that include product managers, stakeholders and developers
• An understanding of basic design principles, including typography, color, layout, presentation, and how to apply these principles in a digital execution
• Familiarity with the Agile/Scrum/Kanban development process and managing work and tasks in JIRA
• Familiarity with accessibility guidelines and how to incorporate accessibility into designs
• A strong online portfolio that demonstrates past UX and visual design work
• Highly collaborative, with strong communication and organization skills
• Willing to jump in and help with other visual design projects as needed

Preferred skills: 

• Experience with building and using design systems
• Familiarity with gleaning actionable insights from analytics and other types of user data, and ability to conduct and analyze user research
• Experience or familiarity with writing clean, semantic HTML, CSS or other front-end code

If you live in CO, CA, NY, Washington State the annualized pay range for this role is $103,200 - $139,600.

The anticipated annualized base salary range for this position is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. Verisign offers a discretionary bonus which is based on individual and company performance, and certain roles may be eligible for discretionary stock awards.
