What You Will Do

As a Interaction Designer supporting our federal client's Product Marketing and Delivery Group, responsibilities will include:

• Leverage user research, insights, and design guidance to develop and review FAFSA prototypes to ensure product requirements are met
• Develop the criteria for FAFSA customer process maps
• Facilitate user research and evaluative testing for FAFSA
• Develop improvement recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative product insights
• Collaborate with the FAFSA lead designer to ensure all aspects of project meet requirements
• Leverage the DCC IxD methodologies, operations, and best practices in support of FAFSA

What You Will Need:

• Minimum of 4 years of technical experience as a UI/UX designer
• Strong knowledge of design concepts including interface design, prototyping, and system development
• Proficiency with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD
• Ability to articulate design requirements to the development teams
• General understanding of Web Development best practices (HTML5, CSS3)
• Experience managing projects and defining detailed requirements
• Ability to communicate applicable technical subject matter expertise to entire team
• Experience working on client engagements
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Bachelor's degree
• US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust Clearance

• Experience participating in product decisions from design to release stages
• Knowledge of accessibility and 508 requirements
• Experience working independently in an Agile environment
• Experience working with Federal Agencies
