Q2 is looking for talented individuals with exceptional technical curiosity and is enthusiastic about solving problems.Β 

The Summer Internship Program is 12-weeks long (May 23rd - August 11th) and all positions are paid hourly with an average work week of 40 hours. You’ll receive real world career experience in a professional setting focused on digital banking software and technology. In addition to your daily work, you will be given the opportunity for weekly classroom trainings with Sr. Leadership, activities with other Q2 interns and the opportunity to present to the Executive Leadership team at the end of the program.Β Upon completion of the internship program, interns have the opportunity to receive a full-time position after graduation.

This position will be an in-office or hybrid role. Due to this being an in-office or hybrid role, it is preferred the intern is located in Austin or surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Transform ideas into valuable, usable software experiences
  • Create UX deliverables including site maps, concept maps, process flows, wireframes, basic prototypes, and UI designs that effectively communicate the product architecture, layout and functionality to team members
  • Participate in user research, including user interviews, user testing, card sorting, surveys and contextual inquiries; produce professional research reports
  • Apply established UI patterns to prototypes and mockups to ensure consistency across products
  • Engage with content writers to preserve the integrity of UI content and help documentation
  • Effectively collaborate with other designers and project team members
  • Deliver effective presentations of ideas and concepts to stakeholders
  • Deliver appropriate design deliverables and participate in Development and QA efforts to ensure designs are developed as specified.
  • Meet project goals and deadlines established by your manager

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with an expected graduation between May 2023 and May 2024.
  • Familiar with prototyping and wireframing software (such as Axure and Sketch)
  • Familiar with information architecture tools and techniques including site maps, concept maps and process flows
  • Basic knowledge of best practices in usability
  • Basic knowledge of mobile user experience design
  • Attention to detail and an aesthetic sensibility required
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to recognize user experience needs and convert into product design
  • Ability to collaborate well with teammates in multiple roles
