UX Researcher
- Define and Lead UX research projects across various phases of product development.
- Collaborate with UX design and research colleagues on the growing SmartBear design team.
- Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to build impactful solutions to SmartBear customer problems.
About the role:
SmartBear seeks a UX Researcher who will be responsible for leading UX research for API Lifecycle solutions. You will work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Product Design and Marketing teams to discover, validate, and ultimately build solutions to SmartBear customer problems.
- Design and run various types of research, including user testing, field studies, usability tests, concept tests, group discussions, and more
- Plan and execute end-to-end research activities to identify Jobs-to-be-Done and analyze customer needs
- You love the strategic side of design. Understanding people and what makes them tick.
- Collaborate to define the intent, development, testing, and refinement of prototypes
- Help foster a culture of experimentation and innovation through leading experiments and workshops
- Synthesize quantitative and qualitative data to drive smarter product and design decisions
- Follow an iterative design process alongside a lean-agile engineering process
We are looking for you if you have:
- Broad experience of user research techniques and tools and a keen eye for fitting the best tools to the project and timeline.
- Ability to analyze data, with knowledge of appropriate data processing tools for rapid and fully in-depth analysis
- A passion for user research and a desire to coach others on implementing research practices into their process
- The ability to communicate and present ideas clearly.
- An interest in the strategic side of design and experience with techniques applicable to strategic discovery and exploration such as design thinking.
- As a bonus: a background in human-computer interaction, psychology, sociology, communication, or related fields.
