In this role you’ll work as part of a balanced team (design, product, and engineering) to bring together the goals of the business and technical expertise to build on our product successes. This role requires a customer-centric view into our solutions and a passion for collaborating to create high-impact user experiences at scale. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a team of product managers, architects, engineers, branding experts, and key customer contacts to envision and iterate a highly desirable, technically feasible and economically viable UX vision. 
  • Partner with Product Management to integrate and prioritise UX requirements into product roadmaps.   
  • Provide creative direction and contribute to thought leadership around design processes within the organisation. 
  • Collaborate with the design team to help establish best practices as well as work hands-on creating design deliverables such as sketches, wireframes, high fidelity mockups, design system components, prototypes, personas, research plans, and other types of presentations.  
  • Oversee and quality control the implementation of designs across the product suite so that our customers receive a cohesive product experience.  
  • Improve your team’s work by asking for and offering feedback from other product designers and cross-functional teammates.

Requirements & Skills:

  • 7+ years of design work experience and a strong background in experience design strategy, creative direction and visual design with a high bar for quality design and an impeccable attention to detail. 
  • A portfolio showcasing previous design projects including visuals and detailed walkthrough of the design process/methodology followed.
  • Ability to lead a small team of designers and manage design ops across multiple projects.
  • A great communicator with interpersonal skills to communicate complex concepts and ideas to many different stakeholders with varying levels of exposure to UI/UX Design. 
  • Experience planning and conducting generative user interviews and usability testing of prototypes.  
  • Passionate about using quantitative data and qualitative research findings to support design decisions and advocate for the best experience for users. 
  • Understands the pillars of design systems, including principles, components, patterns, and accessibility, as both a design system consumer and design system creator. 
  • Fluent in UX design tools and methods for creating mockups and prototypes such as Figma, Miro, Invision, Adobe XD, and others. 
  • Driven by curiosity and humility to seek feedback until we get it right for the customer.

Minimum qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree (or an equivalent certification) in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area
