UX Technical Writer

Reports to: Head of UX

Location: Remote US

Compensation Range: $79,250 to $105,000 base plus bonus and equity

What You’ll Do: 

The growing User Experience (UX) team at Huntress is driven by our mission to deliver cybersecurity to the 99%, and our process reflects that.  We are looking for our first Technical Writer to help us communicate in a human-centered and concise manner.  Technical writers improve UX by crafting clear and understandable material, which takes form in documentation, User Interface (UI) copy, knowledge articles, and more.

Responsibilities: 

• Write UI copy for the Huntress Managed Security Platform
• Write topic-based knowledge articles, feature documentation, release notes, and other online content
• Ensure proper documentation during product launches
• Standardize terminology and content use across the Huntress Platform
• Establish a style for all technical documentation

What You Bring To The Team:  

•  3+ years of experience writing topic-based documentation and UI copy for software products and services
• Familiarity with rapid prototyping tools, like Figma, InVision, or similar
• A technical background or proven ability to assimilate technical information and produce accurate documentation; background in cybersecurity preferred
• Ability to work across teams to help shape a cohesive interface and user experience
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
