UX/UI Designer

Overview:

This role is located in Logan, UT area. Hybrid/Remote 

We are looking for an individual who wants to be creative with the ability to define design needs, not just complete design tasks. A successful UX Designer must have demonstrable experience in translating business and user requirements into design elements and user experiences. We're a small group so you'll also be wearing the UI Designer hat too, and we're looking for someone with great design aesthetics. As we grow, we want you to grow with us. The team meets a few times weekly, the candidate must be located in the area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Requirements documentation
• Create user experience specifications, mockups, and prototypes
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to conceptualize new products and improve existing solutions
• Requirements for having experience with UI/UX design tools, including Adobe CC and others
• Design usability testing protocols and manage testing sessions at appropriate milestones during product development
• Participate in the daily scrum and sprint planning
• UI standards & best practices – maintain site UI architecture, file-naming, and file-preparation conventions and procedures that provide consistency with respect to UI/UX development
• Suggest and implement procedures to improve the UI/UX production workflow

Qualifications:

• Adobe XD experience- our current team utilizes XD
• Knowledge of HTML 4/5, CSS 2/3, and Javascript
• Strong communication skills; the ability to communicate with key business stakeholders and the software development team
• Creative mindset, with the ability to bring strong designs to the table week to week
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, emerging growth environment
• Knowledge of user experience best practices
• Experience developing user interfaces for mobile devices
• Ability to demonstrate a portfolio of work
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Understanding of current and evolving web standards as they relate to user experience

Desired:

• Experience with wireframing tools such as Balsamiq, Sketch, or others
• Experience with prototyping tools, such as Figma, Proto IO, or others
• Experience with Javascript libraries
• Experience with motion graphics or animation
