Value Engineering Analyst (Contract), GTM Strategy Team

About the role:

By combining best-in-class autonomy and cloud connectivity, drones will become critical and ubiquitous infrastructure that can be deployed and monitored in real-time to solve a variety of problems faster, cheaper, and safer than ever before. As a Value Engineering Analyst, you will autonomously drive work streams spanning market and customer research to communicate value for our customers. 

In this contractor role, you will work closely with go-to-market teams to deeply understand customer use cases, structure digestible analyses, and deliver business cases to drive stakeholder understanding and communication of value. 
This is a 6 month contracting position. We are open to remote or hybrid/onsite work at our HQ in San Mateo, CA.

How you’ll make an impact: 

• Equip Skydio’s customers with straightforward, personalized value stories that structure ambiguous customer problems with detailed research and analysis.
• Communicate value quantitatively through return on investment analyses and qualitatively, with targeted contextual considerations.
• Partner closely with sales and customer success to build processes that help us maintain close customer relationships and ensure success.

What makes you a good fit: 

• 2+ years independently driving cross-functional work streams - managing multiple stakeholders and keeping all steps documented from strategy through implementation
• 2+ years of experience in technology companies serving Skydio’s focus markets: Federal, State & Local Government, Large Enterprise (Construction, Utilities, Telecommunications, etc.), or Consumers
• Proficiency in Excel: Ability to break down and solve problems through quantitative thinking and analysis
• Extern / Externship / Secondment from McKinsey, Bain, or BCG (Boston Consulting Group) a plus, but not required
• Drone experience a plus, but not required
• Detail-oriented with exceptional written and oral communication skills, including interviewing
• A passion for speaking with -- and learning from -- customers
