Value Stream Manager

Directs P&L and manufacturing operations for Sheet and Coil Departments. Build and develop operations organization, processes and procedures to support strategic direction. Establish operations initiatives for improvement in safety, delivery, quality, cost, and employee relations. Partner with Sales to identify new business opportunities. Set long term capital plan to meet business and market pans including successful completion and startup of capital improvement projects.

Essential Functions:

• Establishes operations standards for safety, on-time delivery, quality, cost control, and waste reduction.
• Responsible for P&L of Sheet and Coil Departments.
• Work with Sales team to identify new business opportunities.
• Set long term capital plan to meet business and market plans.
• Ensure successful completion and startup of capital improvement projects.
• Establishes manufacturing policies in Lean Manufacturing techniques, material usage, shipping and receiving, capacity planning, production scheduling, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations and performance measures.
• Directs implementation and execution of manufacturing policies and continuous improvement practices throughout departments.
• Oversees the implementation of manufacturing schedules, manpower and facilities requirements, and safety programs.
• Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships.
• Directs and oversees the department's operations budget to ensure compliance with organizational expenditure requirements.
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
• Technical skills in Lean Manufacturing techniques, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Process Improvement, and production scheduling.
• 5-7 years management experience in the metals industry
