Eaton's Crouse-Hinds, B-Line and Oil & Gas Business has an opening for a Value Stream Manager This position will be based at the Sherman, TX facility.

Position Overview:

As a key member of the Sherman Operations Team, the Value Stream Manager will be responsible for performance with respect to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity for the Metering and Cable Tray product lines by leveraging all other functions. The Value Stream Manager (VSM) must have a continuous improvement mindset while overseeing day-to-day activities to achieve plant's objectives.

In this role, you will:

  • Establish a proactive safety culture of zero incidents while promoting and ensuring the completion of safety trainings and programs.
  • Lead a team of direct and indirect reports to implement improvements to efficiencies & productivity in the respective work areas
  • Measure, communicate and improve key performance indicators and act as an agent to support continuous improvement activities that achieve established improvement goals in an effort to become a lean model plant.
  • Instill and maintain a positive team atmosphere in the Value Stream that engages and empowers employees to implement countermeasures and safety improvements.
  • Ensure standardized work processes are properly documented and followed.
  • Lead operational talent management inclusive of employee engagement and performance management. This includes assessing current team members, identifying needs, creating robust training, and developing team to further expand the talent bench.
  • Hold regular daily accountability and monthly department meetings and assign team member tasks and coordinate support activities from departments outside of the team.
  • Lead and improve continuous improvement framework through the utilization of various lean and six sigma methodologies.
  • Increase efficiency levels through flexing labor and resources according to demand patterns. budgetary control.
  • Foster an environment that promotes Eaton's Ethics, Values, Philosophies, and goals. - Allocate the necessary resources to meet external and internal commitments while maintaining budgetary control.
  • Assist the leadership team on an annual basis to prepare the site's Profit Plan and manage costs within that Profit Plan.
  • Will be directly responsible for at least two salary direct reports and indirectly over a department of 60 employees across 3 shifts.
  • Ensure department KPIs are met in accordance with targets set by the leadership team
  • All duties assigned by management and deemed pertinent to the continued success of Company and employee objectives and/or goals with respect to Logistics.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum five (5) years of manufacturing experience
  • Minimum two (2) years of managerial experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP experience
  • Experience with or training in lean tools (5S, Kaizen, Visual Management, Value Stream Mapping, SMED, etc.)
  • Six Sigma/Green Belt or Black Belt Certified and or MBA.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional process improvement teams
  • Electrical industry experience
