Vehicle Assembly Manufacturing Engineer

Your Role:
The VA Manufacturing Engineer must have strong communication skills, be detail oriented, and have the ability to work independently. Candidate must be able to plan utilization of facilities, equipment, materials and personnel to improve efficiency of operations while maintaining Faraday Future established safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees and assesses existing processes and workflows
- Optimize productivity by designing, implementing and testing new procedures
- Assembles reports to document process status and changes
- Provides thorough instructions for successful implementation of process changes
- Assesses compliance with applicable safety and quality standards
- Aid industrial engineers to determine standard times for operations Â
- Develop process documentation for assembly and inspection activities Â
- Design layouts based on production requirements and production rates
- Determine kitting/ sequencing strategies for assembly to reduce cycle times on the line
- Interacts with the Product Development Team to ensure manufacturing feasibility
- Aid in the development and procurement of tools and equipment as required
- Maintain BOM alignment between PLM and Manufacturing
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical
- 3 - 4 years engineering experience in a high volume manufacturing operation, preferably automotive
- 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Must have good communication skills – both verbal and written
- Working experience with CATIA, AutoCAD and standard time methodologies
Preferred Qualifications:
- Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma etc. experience is a plus
- 2 years of manufacturing experience in automotive
- Detailed knowledge of the vehicle assembly process
- Detailed knowledge of CAD tools (CATIA, AutoCAD)
- Detailed knowledge in tools and equipment that support the manufacturing process (ergonomics assists, assembly jigs, etc.)
- Detailed knowledge in fastening equipment (DC tools, clutch tools)
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Proven experience in meeting deadlines in previous employment
