As we grow, the supply of talent must keep pace and critical to our success is the Venture Finance Intern.
Your role
As a Venture Finance Intern you will actively support the Venture Finance team on a broad spectrum of projects and initiatives including:
- Working on marketing materials for our ventures (i.e. pitches, teasers, IMs);
- Working and assisting the CEOs on business models of new ventures with a specific focus on quantifying business cases (including indicative valuations);
- Conducting market research for our ventures;
- Conducting valuations and comparable analyses for both fundraisings and exits;
- Business development activities such as expanding our network of potential (international) investors;
- Supporting the fundraising processes for NLC’s ventures from both dilutive as well as non-dilutive funding sources;
- Supporting the team with fund administration through assisting in organizing and maintaining documentations;
- Assist the team in monitoring and tracking the performance of portfolio ventures and in the preparation of reports for investors.
Your profile
We are looking for a motivated student who wants to experience entrepreneurship, and use their financial knowledge to help building impactful startups:
- A high-potential student with a minimum of a BSc in Economics, (international) business, or other finance-related studies. We are also open to considering individuals with diverse quantitative backgrounds who demonstrate a keen interest in finance;
- Affinity with innovation, entrepreneurship, technology, healthcare, and/or startups;
- High proficiency in English with good communication skills
- Eye for detail;
- Initiates tasks independently and is a self-starter;
- Resourceful and a true team player; and
- Adaptive capabilities in a fast-paced environment.
You must have the right to work in the Netherlands and due to limited resources we do not have the capacity to offer relocation support nor visa sponsorship, so it is preferred that you are already located in the Netherlands
The opportunity
- A full-time internship of 5-6 months, ideally with a start date between February and March 2024; however, the start date can be modified depending on your personal interests and learning objectives (including a thesis)

- An internship compensation of 600 euros per month
