Great! We are looking for a dynamic Venue Sales Manager to help us as we activate and transform some of San Franciscoâs most awesomazing buildings into the Bayâs premier event space portfolio. Our marketing team will help you fill the top of the funnel with everready event planners seeking alternatives to the humdrum hotel ballroom and ho-hum convention center. Our unflappable production team will help you turn pipedream PowerPoints into heart-stopping, spine-tingling events that amaze and inspire.Â
Your job is to turn leads into sales â engaging new prospects and existing clients, perfecting proposals that exceed expectations, closing the sale, and ultimately ensuring their event unlocks our venuesâ magical potential!Â

What you will be doingÂ
- Reach or exceed quarterly and annual target revenue set across our portfolio of San Francisco venues.Â
- Respond to client inquiries/requests within NPUâs lightning-fast timelines.Â
- Reach out to past clients to reconnect and seek new opportunities.Â
- Proactively driving client communications and being the main/sole point of contact for each individual client until contract execution occursÂ
- Tracking and updating all efforts through our CRM system daily.
- Facilitating site visits and walk-throughs for prospective clients.
- Preparing, negotiating, and producing custom proposals for clients. Addressing any clientâs questions, concerns, and issues. Assisting with any and all pre-contract event details and logistics.Â
- Understanding event and conference calendar and subsequent busy periods as well as all other NPU venues and preferred vendors for referrals.Â
- Providing clear verbal and written communication to Production staff on event information.Â
- Seamlessly transitioning clients to Production Manager as their lead point of contact upon contract executionÂ
- With Marketing, increasing venue and product awareness within the marketplace by conducting sales calls, familiarization tours, industry meetings, trade shows, etc.Â
- âŻAssisting Marketing to create sales collateral, floorplans, logistic procedures, SOP, rules, and regulationsÂ
What we are looking forÂ
- 5+ years prior experience in event, venue/property, or hospitality sales;
- Experience in corporate sales is a plus.
- Prior track record of crushing sales goals;
- Must be:Â

- a self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

- A strong team player to make our company even better Prior experience with event sales, production, or marketing is preferred but not a strict requirement.
- Strong verbal and written communicator who is customer oriented and driven to closeÂ
- Familiarity with Priava CRM a plus
- Some travel required between NPU venuesÂ
- Must be able to walk up and down stairs, be able to lift 25lbs
- Must be able to use computer, phone, sit/stand for a long period of timeÂ
- Must be respectful, kind, and decent
Hours, Pay, and BenefitsÂ
- Base salary is $60-$80k. This position includes a commission plan wherein total compensation is $120k (or more) if sales quotas are met (or exceeded).Â
