Work Shift

1 - First Shift

Are you the type of person who enjoys planning and providing support for a variety of projects? In this role, you will coordinate numerous events, serve as the point person for VATH facility operations, and have the opportunity to work with a variety of groups both internal and external to Vermeer. We're looking for a person with strong verbal and written communication skills who can multitask and be the go-to person for all things related to the VATH facility.

What You'll Do

1. Provide administrative support for VATH team members (create meeting agendas, maintain calendars, manage deliveries, building security liaison).

2. Coordinate various company events at the VATH facility (scheduling, planning, and set up for events).

3. Serve as the main contact for all events at the VATH facility.

4. Provide facility support and find personnel to help solve any issues at the facility (schedule maintenance, order supplies, coordinate repairs, etc.).

5. Collaborate with other Vermeer and Iowa State staff for events at the VATH facility.

6. Serve as a tour guide or company host as needed or coordinate with other Vermeer team members to provide this service.

7. Provide communications support for VATH (facility and event information, facility signage for events, collaborate with Vermeer communications team members to promote happenings at the Ames facility).

What We're Looking For

- High School diploma required with a minimum one year of job experience and/or training; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

- Associate's degree preferred.

- Ability to collaborate with both internal and external groups and individuals.

- Ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.

- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 applications.

- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while supporting the department.

- Ability to work well with co-workers to meet deadlines and expectations.

Travel

Occasional travel to Pella is expected of this position.

Work Location

ONSITE: A team member's day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
