This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Vertical Vice President, Technology based in United States.

As Vertical Vice President of Technology, you will lead the engineering organization across a portfolio of vertical SaaS products in the Wedding & Events space, driving both technical excellence and business impact. This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping engineering strategy, operating models, and delivery execution across multiple teams and products. You will play a central role in modernizing platforms, improving reliability, and scaling engineering practices across distributed teams. The role blends strategic leadership with hands-on influence, particularly in advancing AI-enabled engineering practices and product innovation. You will collaborate closely with Product and business leaders to align technology execution with growth objectives. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape the future of a fast-growing multi-product SaaS portfolio.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead end-to-end engineering execution across multiple SaaS products, ensuring alignment with roadmap priorities and business objectives.
  • Drive predictable, high-quality delivery across engineering teams while partnering closely with Product, Design, and QA functions.
  • Define and enforce engineering standards for scalability, security, performance, and system reliability across the portfolio.
  • Champion platform modernization efforts and lead initiatives to reduce technical debt and improve system architecture.
  • Implement AI-enabled engineering practices to enhance productivity, automate workflows, and accelerate delivery cycles.
  • Own and evolve engineering operating models, including sprint structures, delivery frameworks, and planning processes.
  • Oversee engineering managers, guiding team development, performance, hiring, and organizational scaling.
  • Partner with business and product leaders to identify opportunities for shared platforms, infrastructure, and monetizable product capabilities.
  • Drive adoption of data-driven and AI-supported decision-making across engineering planning and execution.
  • Represent engineering leadership in strategic planning, investment decisions, and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Requirements

    • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 5+ years in engineering leadership roles.
    • Proven experience leading multiple engineering teams or product lines in a SaaS environment.
    • Strong track record of building and scaling Engineering Managers and high-performing technical organizations.
    • Deep understanding of scalable software systems, cloud-native architectures, and modern development practices.
    • Experience improving engineering velocity, delivery predictability, and operational excellence at scale.
    • Demonstrated ability to translate business strategy into technical execution and engineering priorities.
    • Experience in vertical SaaS, SMB platforms, or payments-adjacent ecosystems is strongly preferred.
    • Background in platform modernization, system integration, or complex multi-product environments.
    • Exposure to AI-enabled development tools, automation, or product innovation leveraging AI is highly valued.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with executive-level presence.
