VIBRATION TEST TECHNICIAN (STARLINK PRODUCT RELIABILTY)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Self-monitor work progress against fast-paced area benchmarks and achieve on time delivery of all work
  • Setup and execute vibration testing on electrodynamic, 3-axis shaker tables
  • Generate test reports and communicate to stakeholders
  • Work with design engineers to develop and document vibration test procedures
  • Work with design engineers to troubleshoot failures
  • Program and operate environmental test chambers
  • Assist with the development of production processes for first time production runs
  • Assist with area efficiency and 5S improvement projects
  • Responsible for some preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems
  • Use mechanical hand tools and torque wrenches to setup test fixtures

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate
  • 2+ years of experience in test procedure development, electronic troubleshooting, or working in a manufacturing/production environment

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate degree in electronics engineering technology or engineering
  • Experience with vibration testing and its associated controllers
  • Some experience in space, aviation, military or other high-reliability operating environments is highly desirable
  • Capable of working with diverse electrical test equipment analog and digital and RF
  • Strong team working skills
  • Excellent attention to detail

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime and/or weekends as needed
  • Estimated start times: 1st shift (5am), 2nd shift (3:30pm)
  • Repetitive assembly operations, grasping, standing, lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range:          

Test Technician / Level 1: $20.00 - $27.00/hour     

Test Technician / Level 2: $25.00 - $32.50/hour     

Test Technician / Level 3: $30.00 - $38.00/hour     

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
