Vice President, Brand Strategy

Spectrum is seeking a Vice President, Brand Strategy to join our team! This role will be responsible for leadership on our Brand Strategy team as well as collaborating with leaders across the strategy team’s other functions, Scientific Strategy and Analytics. The ideal candidate will be a cultural enthusiast and flexible problem-solver who can juggle multiple brand building projects at once.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead brand strategy and content development across a wide variety of brands and therapeutic categories, developing compelling approaches to achieve client goals and objectives
• Work collaboratively across all agency functions to bridge the needs of our client’s brands and the needs of their stakeholders enabling our clients to build lasting relationships with their key customers
• Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of client industry landscape
• Develop and facilitate client workshops
• Develop strong relationships with clients to support organic growth
• Understand and apply various research methodologies and be able to craft insights via appropriate evaluation of research results
• Drive strategic direction of new business opportunities, including research and insight development, supporting pitch presentations, organic growth contributions, etc.
• Participate in internal and external thought leadership opportunities
• Manage and mentor junior level staff on the Brand Strategy team
• Provide learning and development opportunities for junior level staff

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• At least 10+ years of prior agency experience, preferably with at some professional healthcare experience; appropriate academic or professional training (social science, marketing, strategic planning)
• Previous management experience
• Ability to examine a challenge from different perspectives and guide insight generation across a wide variety of audiences
• Understands qualitative and quantitative research including design and analysis, in collaboration with our research team can identify appropriate research methodology to address varied client needs
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills
• An in depth understanding of multiple products and therapeutic categories
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• A proven track record of developing creative solutions for clients
• Highly collaborative, professional demeanor
• Resourceful and effective problem solver
• Strong attention to detail
