Vice President, Technical Business Process Manager

Summary:

This individual will act as the technical business process manager for the Loan Operations team which services commercial loans for clients across Northern trust.

The successful candidate will act as a technical change agent by evaluating current state and providing solutions for future state processes. This individual will lead the business process re-engineering initiatives.

Example project: Support the sub-ledger conversion to Advanced Commercial Banking System (ACBS) synchronizing it with rest of the commercial lending platforms.

Major Duties:

• Conducts end-to-end process analysis and design with an understanding of technical and operating challenges and solutions.
• Manage multiple large scale, complex, enterprise-wide initiatives and projects.

• Elicit, validate, and document project feasibility assessment which includes scope, business justification, cost benefit and provide early solutions and recommendations.
• Responsible for project metrics, reporting and providing recommendations for technical process improvements that will improve quality, reduce costs and establish appropriate process metrics and improve process controls.
• Lead technical enhancement projects to reduce errors and increase productivity.
• Lead technical change and business process redesigns and operating model reviews/ amendments.

Knowledge and Skills:

• 5+ years of experience as a business architect working on a variety of large and complex technology projects.
• Knowledge of commercial loans and strong understanding of accounting subledgers impact to the general ledger.
• Proven experience working with loan operation/management software. ACBS is preferred.
• Strong skills in technical process mapping and business process reengineering.
• Strong assessment, reporting and presentation skills.
• Strong business and external partner engagement skills.
• Self-starter and ability to work independently.
