Job Description

SmartRent is looking to hire a VP of Channel Sales who will be responsible for driving and creating demand generation programs for all of SmartRent. You will utilize your exceptional strategic, leadership, and relationship building skills to convey SmartRent’s value proposition and build a national network of channel partners. This person will lead a team of regional sales directors to grow our partner network, nurture relationships, and expand SmartRent’s footprint. This role will partner closely with leaders in Sales, Implementation, Field Services, Marketing and Product. 

The Vice President, Channel Sales role will be in-person at our Corporate Offices in Scottsdale, AZ

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate the growth of a national network of dealers who successfully sell, install and support the SmartRent product platform
  • Guide the Channel Sales Team in Building, cultivating, and developing strategic channel partnerships throughout the country
  • Build specific and measurable growth initiatives that align to the partner business strategy
  • Guide team to meet and exceed quota responsibility across defined partner channels
  • Foster strong consultative relationships and continually assess, clarify, and validate partner needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted content and campaigns that drive measurable outcomes
  • Measurement and analysis of channel programs, promotions, and other activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships at the executive level with key channels and partners.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering to continuously enhance the SmartRent product ecosystem

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Channel Sales
  • 5+ years of leadership and management experience
  • Experience in enterprise software sales, ideally with building technology, IoT, access control, video and security a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to create, define, and execute a strategic revenue plan for Channel Partners
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding revenue objectives, especially for revenue sourced through the channel
  • Excellent presentation skills to executives & individual contributors
  • Proven ability to analyze performance and identify areas of improvement and optimization
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience working with Salesforce (CRM) and report building is a plus
