About the Role:Â
The Vice President of Corporate Technology & Security is a newly-created Senior Leadership Team role, and as such, will play a pivotal part in assessing, maturing, and scaling the organization and its capabilities as we integrate multiple teams (Corporate Technology and Security), recent acquisitions (Stream and Sentieo), and cultures in AlphaSense’s journey toward a successful IPO. The successful candidate will be a motivated people leader, demonstrated IT and security expert, and someone invigorated by the opportunity to drive transformational change to become a trusted asset which powers the growth of the enterprise. Â
Who You Are:- 12+ years of experience working directly in Corporate Technology/IT and Security domains
- 5+ years experience in people management with exceptional skills recruiting and developing high-performing teams
- 3+ years of experience in the development and management of managers or director-level leaders
- Able to influence at multiple levels, from the front lines to the C-suite, in order to gain buy-in to achieve strategic, cross-enterprise outcomes
- Superior business acumen and ability to understand business unit operations quickly and accurately
- Excellent verbal and written skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate technical and business issues and solutions to multiple organizational levels internally and externally
- Strong teamwork, interpersonal & relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, highly driven, and able to work independently and through ambiguity
- Strong problem-solving skills – ability to see past the immediate answer to the simple, elegant solution
- Deep understanding of OWASP vulnerabilities and experience with developing DevSecOps culture.
- Deep experience with building scalable application,platform and infrastructure security programs.
- Experience with building SOC functions and business continuity programs.
- Deep understanding and experience with privacy, financial, and security regulations and rolling out frameworks (CCPA, GDPR, SOX, SOC2, ISO27001, NIST, ITIL, etc.)
- Bachelor’s or greater degree in a related field is preferred
- Previous IPO experience is a strong plus
What You’ll Do:Â
- Lead the Corporate Technology & Security functions in developing an org strategy, associated OKRs, budgeting, and resources to deliver excellence in day-to-day operations
- Assess current state of Corporate Technology & Security capabilities, operating models, maturity levels, and develop associated roadmaps to drive successful IPO-ready strategy
- Define services, standards, organizational design, policies, processes, associated capabilities, controls, and metrics that ensure successful execution against the Corporate Technology & Security roadmaps
- Build a culture of collaboration, customer/stakeholder obsession, and impact among your team
- Collaborate with functional leaders to understand their day-to-day hardware, software, networking, and technology support needs in order to develop scalable solutions which empower them with force-multiplying capabilities
- Identify current or potential security risks and exposures, and develop procedures to remediate current violations, prevent future incidents, and improve security across the business.Â
- Implement Enterprise risk management and reporting practices to achieve Cyber surety.Â
- Build and mature application, platform security programs in the organization. Â
- Build strong security operation and incident response functions for IPO readiness. Â
