What You Will Do:

The VP of Digital Product will lead our Product Management team which supports our full portfolio of Direct to Consumer Brands, along with our internal tools and systems. This team is responsible for all consumer facing ecommerce stores, our homegrown content management system, and homegrown order management and CRM tool. You will define the product feature roadmap, connect big picture vision with tactical execution, driven by a deep level of understanding of the drivers of the customer experience and close collaboration with the engineering, growth marketing, creative, and brand teams.

We are looking for a leader who is excited about supporting and growing a talented team in a quickly-scaling business. The ideal candidate will be able to span big picture thinking with operational and executional excellence, and can combine trends in KPIs and data with feedback from customers and industry level trends to create best in class digital products. You should have an ownership mindset, be an excellent communicator and feel comfortable prioritizing across multiple workstreams and stakeholders.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and grow the Brooklyn-Helix digital product team
    • Establish and drive vision for the Product Management Practice, establishing a deliberate portfolio of offerings based on firm resources and client needs
    • Manage and develop existing members of the digital product team
    • Recruit new team members and lead thinking on team structure and evolution
    • Continue to develop a customer-centric digital product culture within our business
  • Digital Product Strategy
    • Work with the senior leadership team to translate company level objectives into a long term digital product strategy across all of our digital product and touchpoints
    • Incorporate input from key stakeholder teams to help facilitate their top level initiatives
    • Monitor and evaluate trends in developing technologies, industry / competitive changes, and user behavior and expectations to further inform strategy
    • Own, update and track the digital product roadmap across our digital products
  • Digital Product Project Management
    • Define the digital product project management process, collaborating closely with our Software Engineering team
    • Periodically incorporate feedback from process participants (PMs, engineers, designers) and from partner team stakeholders to optimize and refine the project management process
    • Provide oversight and guidance on project management, particularly of key, high impact projects
  • User Insights & Experience Optimization
    • Lead the user insights process to deeply understand how users engage with our digital products
    • Oversee the conversion rate optimization roadmap and process across our consumer facing digital processes
    • Manage relationships with vendors and tool providers

Who You Are:

  • Experience
    • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
    • Extensive experience in product management or similar function
    • Experience managing and growing a team
    • Experience in ecommerce & UI/UX strategy
    • Experience leading and managing product management and/or engineering teams
    • Experience in a high growth environment
  • Skills
    • Strong leadership skills
