The Role

As the Vice President of Engineering, you will be responsible for leading multiple software teams and being a manager of managers. You should have a background at high growth companies and have extensive experience scaling teams, modernizing processes, and technology. You will be responsible for driving results for your team and collaborating with Product and QA. 


What You Will Do

  • You will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing engineering team
  • You will define and execute the company's technical strategy to support the business initiatives  
  • You will be responsible for delivering high-quality software on time and on budget
  • This person should work with product leadership on defining and prioritizing the company’s product roadmap, which would include business and technical initiatives.
  • You will manage risk and ensure the security and scalability of the company's software systems
  • You will need to establish clear and measurable goals for the team, develop a process for tracking progress and identifying and addressing roadblocks.
  • You will drive collaboration with QA on setting a goal to decrease quality regression during new feature development efforts.
  • You will be responsible for defining a technical debt roadmap with adequate business justification

What You Need to Succeed

  • 15+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 10 years of experience in a leadership role
  • A proven track record of success in building and delivering high-quality software on time and on budget.
  • Experience with AWS or GCP cloud computing platform
  • Experience with a DevOps toolchain (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI, Travis CI, etc.)
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with product leaders and other stakeholders.
  • The ability to think strategically and make sound technical decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience mentoring and growing engineering managers
  • The ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is: $223,500 - $302,500. You may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, as well as applicable employment laws.


Location

This is a permanent, full-time, fully remote position. Employees living in Indianapolis, IN are welcome to work from our company headquarters. We do not offer Visa sponsorship or relocation assistance at this time.
