Vice President, Engineering

Reports to: Chief Product Officer 

Location: Remote US and Canada Only 

Compensation Range: Up to $300,000 base, plus bonus and equity

What You’ll Do: 

Huntress is looking for an experienced engineering leader to lead the engineering function, scale our engineering organization, and deliver great products. In this role, you'll lead the teams responsible for building and running products, platforms, and infrastructure for Huntress. 

Our next phase of growth has us adding more products to our offerings, more tightly integrating our multi-product platform, and expanding into customer segments and geographies. The successful candidate will be a proven engineering leader who brings state-of-the-art engineering practices and deep experience in developing teams and people to accelerate our growth.

Responsibilities:  

• Deliver great products, helping your teams balance delivery with long term product health
• Lead the continuous improvement of the engineering practice and systems
• Manage the engineering senior director responsible for product engineering teams, and directly manage the engineering managers for our platform and DevOps teams
• Collaborate with Huntress’s Threat Operations team to develop connected systems and tools to support our mission
• Work closely with the CTO and Co-Founder of Huntress to implement and operate our evolving architecture
• Lead an engineering culture that fosters continual learning and growth
• Lead not only within product and engineering, but cross organizationally across all business sectors as a member of our extended leadership team

What You Bring To The Team:  

• At least 10 years experience in engineering leadership building SaaS products in a modern SaaS environment, At least three years of those at the vice president level or higher
• Deep understanding of organizing engineering teams to iteratively deliver customer value, and experience with a variety of approaches such as hypothesis-driven development, Shape Up, Scrum, Kanban, and plan-build-ship
• Skilled at hiring, building teams, leading and coaching managers, and performance management 
• Demonstrated success working with product management leaders to develop a shared product and technical vision 
• Deep understanding of systems reliability, resilience, and metrics of success associated with highly scaled cloud based software development 
• Helpful but not required: experience in a fully remote environment, experience working with both on-premise agents and web applications
• Bonus points for having led engineering teams with experience in Ruby on Rails at scale
