Vice President of Engineering - Apps

Nuna’s App Engineering team builds all the apps for Payers and Providers. We build  and own common infrastructure to power all the apps. We work  across the stack from data schema modeling, APIs to UI. We work closely with Product and Solutions and Data Analysts to bring the best insights to improve cost and quality of care. 

Nuna was founded to bring accountability to a healthcare system that is currently broken and consistently failing patients across the U.S. When there’s more accountability for the cost and quality of care—when the value of care matters more than the volume of care—patients, payers, and providers stand to benefit.

Nuna’s Value Platform team is building the next generation of healthcare products to enable widespread adoption and delivery of value-based care throughout the United States. Through these products, we’ll tackle the major challenges delaying the delivery of high-quality affordable healthcare for everyone.

• Develop apps  that enable transparent, trusted operation of value based payment operations for payers and providers.
• Work with provider stakeholders to improve performance analytics driving engagement in value-based programs.
• Develop scalable and reusable value-based performance reporting capabilities, supporting a wide portfolio of value-based payment models.
• Rapidly iterate and ground decisions in user feedback. 
• Work cross functionally with product, design, and data science to deliver a customer-first experience.
• Grow the engineering team and shape the engineering culture to promote growth and  execution.

• Proven track record of building and launching applications and related infrastructure.
• Experience in managing managers
• Experience managing 50+ person orgs
• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Entrepreneurial, leadership, organizational dynamic skills.
• Exceptional communication and listening skills, you break down problems and generate shared understanding across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Self starter with a bias towards execution.

• Healthcare-related or Value-Based domain knowledge.
• Hands-on software engineering experience.
