Submittable is a fast-growing, impactful company and our people are at the core of everything we do.  To help us accelerate our work, we are seeking an experienced Vice President of Human Resources to lead all aspects of our people operations.  

The VP of HR, will serve as a key member of Submittable’s leadership team and act as a trusted advisor and business partner, providing strategic guidance to senior leaders and their teams across the company.  They will partner with business leaders to drive growth, a performance-oriented culture, and a positive, welcoming, and inclusive working environment for all Submittable employees.  This senior-most HR leader will manage all company-wide human resources processes and policies, talent acquisition strategies, and employee programs to realize Submittable’s near-term and long-term goals

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of effective, sustainable, and impactful people strategies and programs to support Submittable employees including total rewards, recruitment, performance management, leadership development, career mapping, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness
  • Advise on strategic programs aligned to Submittable’s values and strategic vision to positively affect the attraction, motivation, development, and retention of the Submittable employees
  • Maintain a broad perspective with external market knowledge around HR trends to ensure our strategic people priorities are aligned to those across the markets and geographies in which we operate
  • Create new and enhance current company policies and ensure overall compliance, in partnership with the CEO and leadership team
  • Lead and mentor the human resources and talent acquisition teams
  • Provide coaching and training for company leaders
  • Oversee all performance management aspects of the organization
  • Develop HR metrics and report data to appropriate stakeholders
  • Contribute to various change management processes across the business in partnership with key change agents
  • Administer all applicable local, state, federal and international compliance programs related to people operations
  • Research, manage and resolve regulatory risks and potential litigation

Skills & Experience We Hope You Bring:

  • A minimum of 10 years as an HR Business Partner, Generalist or related HR role with responsibilities in employee relations, total rewards, and talent management and development
  • Action-oriented leader who is able to hold colleagues accountable in an empathetic leadership style
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to make data-driven insights and strategies
  • Working knowledge of all key Human Resources skill areas
  • Demonstrated capability with change management delivery
  • Demonstrated coaching and consulting skills
  • Thought and influence leadership; trusted strategic advisor on people issues

Salary Details: The annual salary range for this position is $210,000-$280,000 OTE. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. We also have a location-based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.

Position Location: This role will be located in Bellevue, WA, or, Missoula, MT following a hybrid work model. Our staff is expected to be willing to work from one of our office locations twice a week or as needed by your team.
