Vice President of Marketing

What You'll Do:
The Vice President of Marketing at Metafora will shape, design, execute and manage the marketing and communications strategies across the entire go-to-market lifecycle which will contribute to and fuel Metafora’s growth. You will be working with a cross-functional team to build the organization's brand, create awareness, generate demand and enable the Metafora sales team. Â
This position requires business-to-business (B2B) marketing experience in the management consulting, professional services or IT services marketplace. Responsibilities include creating the marketing strategy, determining the marketing activities required and executing these to build awareness, demand and the Metafora brand. The VP of Marketing will also be responsible for creating a scalable marketing framework, establishing KPIs and measuring these to achieve continuous improvement within the marketing organization.
The individual in this role must be a self-starter with strong executive presence, willingness to get their hands dirty, and able to work collaboratively at all levels of the organization.
Key responsibilities include:
- Build and execute the marketing strategy, plan, and budget
- Collaborate on evolving the Metafora brand to resonate with the current and future target markets
- Develop plans to increase awareness within markets
- Create and continue to evolve buyer personas to be tied to targeted marketing
- Create demand by delivering cost-efficient integrated marketing campaigns including message development, creating marketing assets, conference and event strategy, digital and social media outreach.
- Manage the creation of sales training and tools designed to make the sales process more repeatable
- Work with and manage external marketing partners (PR, SEO, web development, etc.)
- Draw insights from marketing program analytics to refine programs and improve performance.
- Share marketing best practices to help improve skill development and ability amongst the marketing team.
- Hire, train, and develop marketing team members in support of marketing strategy and execution goals
- Build relationships with client-facing deal teams, coaching them on best practice sales and marketing strategies, tactics and implementation, to improve client relationships and win rates.
- Assist in planning of marketing investments and manage operational budget.
- Travel domestically as needed on a limited basis
How you’ll do it:
- Creativity: Ability to “think big” and envision a successful project based on the company’s needs.
- Communication: Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of people, internal and external at all levels of an organization from seat level to C-Suite.Â
- Tech savvy: Ability to leverage technology to increase efficiency. Experience with creative project management software and familiarity with the latest project management tools.
- Collaboration: Maintaining flexible workflows between marketing and content contributors and between marketing and external partners as well as other stakeholders.
- Analytical: The ability to drill down to individual communication, task and interaction metrics and report out appropriately.
What We Need:
- Bachelor's degreeÂ
- 7+ years Marketing experience in management consulting, professional services or IT services marketplace or Marketing experience working in high-growth technology companies with a services business
- Knowledge and practical experience with SEO, digital marketing tools, account based marketing (ABM) and related software
- Experience building and managing marketing teams
- Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
- Strong critical thinking, strategy, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
Preferred Requirements:
- Background in Transportation, Logistics, and/or Supply Chain industries
- Experience with Salesforce and Marketing Automation software
- Exhibits strong interpersonal skills as related to building trusted relationships with internal and external business partnersÂ
