Vice President of Marketing
Job Description
As the Vice President of Marketing you will be responsible for building and executing a marketing strategy that aligns with our business goals by cultivating a thriving marketing department, developing leaders, and effectively communicating with division and sales leadership. This position requires excellent and proven communication and analytical capabilities that enable Origami to drive an effective brand message and generate demand in each of its target markets and industries.
Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and monitors a cohesive marketing strategy to increase brand awareness and drive pipeline, working closely with Division Presidents and VPs of Sales.
- Effectively sets current and long-term goals and manages a team to accomplish all the functions required of the department, which includes demand generation, events and tradeshows, client marketing, brand and design, analyst relations and product marketing.
- Attracts, develops, deploys, motivates, and challenges high-performing colleagues to achieve objectives.
- Develops and manages to clearly defined performance metrics, making necessary data-driven changes as needed.
- Increases the return on marketing investment and enhances the customer value proposition.
- Functional owner of all external company communication, including public and analyst relations.
- Ensures all external and internal events (colleague conference, user conference, tradeshows, client events, etc.) are managed effectively within a budget and achieve stated outcomes.
- Drives the digital marketing capability (website, SEO, social media channels).
- Prioritizes marketing projects, allocate resources accordingly and ensuring projects are being managed with effective communication, defined outcomes and operational rigor.
- Partners with Revenue Operations to deliver reporting and metrics that measure the value of marketing investment
- Improves organizational effectiveness within the department by requiring repeatable processes to be developed, utilized, and reviewed regularly to ensure continuous innovation and financial rigor.
- Forecasts hiring needs for the Marketing department as part of the budgeting process and adjusts as needed throughout the year.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or communications.
- 15+ years of previous B2B marketing management experience leading a team of people leaders
- Demonstrable experience designing and implementing successful marketing campaigns.
- Experience with CRM software and digital marketing tools and techniques.
- Strong business acumen in enterprise software/SaaS informed by reporting and analytics required.
- Experience working with various channels of revenue generation.
- Experience partnering with leaders across the organization
- Previous partnerships experience is a plus.
