Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic VP of Marketing to join our team. As the go-to-market innovator, you will play a pivotal role in defining and implementing acquisition strategies to drive growth at Zennify. With your diverse marketing background and strong leadership skills, you will lead our team of interdisciplinary marketing professionals (both employee and contractor) and collaborate closely with the Sales and executive team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the CEO, sales and leadership team to develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with business goals. Set marketing objectives and ensure their successful implementation across all marketing initiatives.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a talented team of marketing professionals, fostering a high-trust, high-performance environment. Provide guidance and support to enhance individual and team performance, promoting continuous learning and professional development.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build strong relationships across the organization, working closely with sales, customer success, and other departments to drive cohesive go-to-market strategies. Collaborate with service delivery and technical teams to align marketing efforts with service offerings and customer needs.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize your strong analytical skills to leverage data in evaluating, acting upon, and iterating marketing strategies. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive data-backed decision making and optimize marketing campaigns.
- Customer Acquisition: Own the full customer acquisition process, from lead generation to conversion. Develop and implement innovative strategies to attract, engage, and convert target customers, ensuring a seamless experience throughout the customer journey.
- Brand Management: Take ownership of maintaining a strong and consistent brand presence across all touchpoints. Ensure that the company's brand identity and messaging are effectively communicated in marketing campaigns, collateral, and digital channels.
- Performance Reporting: Develop and implement robust reporting mechanisms to track marketing impact and progress against core business objectives. Present data-driven insights and reports to the executive team, providing visibility into marketing performance and identifying areas for improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 years of diverse marketing experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles. Experience in Financial Services is a plus.
- Proven track record of success in defining and implementing client acquisition strategies in a services-based company.
- Strong background in working closely with sales and service delivery teams, demonstrating a genuine understanding of service offerings and customer needs.
- Exceptional analytical and creative skills, with a data-driven mindset and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into easily understandable messages.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, combining strategic thinking, planning, and hands-on execution.
- Experience in building and developing high-performing marketing teams, including both direct employees and contractors.
- Demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive work culture, promoting teamwork, innovation, and employee growth.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field (MBA preferred).

You should demonstrate a track record of delivering measurable outcomes, driving revenue growth, and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) in marketing initiatives. You should be proactive in optimizing campaigns based on data analysis and market insights.
- Industry Knowledge: A deep understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem and implementation services is vital. The ideal candidate should possess industry knowledge and keep up-to-date with emerging trends, best practices, and market dynamics to drive innovative marketing strategies.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. The candidate should be able to effectively articulate complex concepts, convey the value proposition of services, and translate technical details into compelling messaging. They should also excel in cross-functional collaboration, building relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
