As our Vice President of People Operations, you will take full ownership of a broad range of talent and human resources actions. You’ll be a key champion of our Company Culture, accountable for Talent Management & Employee Development, our Employee Experience & Labor Relations, Total Pay & Compensation.  Working as a member of our senior leadership team, you’ll be instrumental in evolving our People Operations strategy as our business continues to grow.   

Scope of position:

  • Company Culture: You’ll work directly with our founders to develop processes, policies, and initiatives which embody our desired Company Culture.  You’ll be responsible for defining objectives & goals that specifically address our strong desire for diversity, equity and inclusion across our workforce.  
  • Talent Management & Employee Development: You’ll lead the development, execution, and optimization of various Talent Management initiatives to recruit, retain, develop, and promote a great Team Diligent.  You’ll develop and steward various talent acquisition & recruiting, pre-employment & onboarding, training & development work processes.  
  • Employee Experience & Labor Relations:  You’ll work directly with our founders to develop our Employee Experience strategy, defining initiatives that elevate & upgrade our Employee Experience.  You’ll be responsible for developing, implementing & administering an effective series of Employee policies and managing disputes, and managing compliance & regulatory requirements. 
  • Total Pay & Compensation: You’ll be responsible for overseeing payroll, compensation, employee assistance & benefits, and administration of our retirement plan.  You’ll maintain a strong interface with Strategy & Finance, ensuring compensation plans, our salary policies & administration align with our Strategic and Resource Plans.  
  • People Strategy and Leadership Support: You’ll provide oversight and analysis that supports the evolution of Diligent Robotics business and organization, including developing succession plans, talent strategies, compensation plans, and job designs.  
  • Continuous Improvement: You’ll drive People Operations-specific governance requirements, best practices, and guidelines.  You’ll define and steward various process & system expansions & upgrades.  You’ll develop & manage People Operations budgets & plans, third-party providers (e.g., external recruiters, vendors, consultants, etc.) 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relative experience in pay & compensation, talent management, and employee experience & relations
  • Proven leadership capabilities & managerial experience(s) in hyper-growth business environments; strongly prefer start-up business experience and experience with hybrid workforces including a combination of remote, exempt/non-exempt personnel 
  • Experience with defining, developing and operationalizing processes, systems, and policies from the ground up
  • Strong understanding of fundamental human resources & People Operations best practices, policies, employment laws & regulations at federal, state, and local levels, including immigration & employment Visas 
  • Able to work with & at multiple organizational levels; strong interpersonal skills, detail-oriented; willingness to roll up your sleeves & be hands-on 
  • Exceptional project management skills; able to work independently on multiple assignments; deadline- and results-focused
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline; SHRM-CP or SHRM-CSP certificate strongly desired
