The Vice President of Product Design will lead the design strategy and vision for all FiscalNote products, ensuring that our solutions are innovative, user-centric, and market-leading. This role involves overseeing a team of product designers, guiding design principles, identifying and enabling product growth opportunities, and collaborating closely with product management and engineering teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.

About You
Experienced leader with a strong background in product design and growing products who is capable of translating complex user needs and market insights into intuitive and beautiful design solutions. Adept at fostering collaboration and creativity within a team while ensuring alignment with the company’s product vision and strategic goals. Comfortable making quantitative and qualitative decisions to guide your small team and the entire product organization toward delivering impactful and user-centered product experiences.
What To Expect In This Position
Build the Product Design team, providing mentorship and fostering a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and user-focused design.Collaborate with cross-functional leaders across Product, Engineering, and Marketing to align design initiatives with product roadmaps and business objectives.Drive the creation of design systems, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and scalability across all FiscalNote products.Conduct user research and leverage customer feedback to inform design decisions and improve user satisfaction.Manage design resources, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful delivery of design projects.Advocate for design thinking and user-centered design principles throughout the organization.Identify emerging design trends and technologies that can enhance FiscalNote’s product suite and user experience.Provide input and guidance to the future of FiscalNote products and services including idea generation, evaluation, and early proof of concept deliverables.Spearhead initiatives including product led growth strategy and others as assigned to drive maximum value for customers.What Sets You Apart
10+ years of experience in product design, with at least 5 years in a leadership role (Director, VP, or similar).Proven track record of designing and delivering successful digital products in B2B or SaaS environments.Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in user experience (UX) design, user interface (UI) design, and design strategy.Experience with leading design software and tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite).Ability to analyze and interpret data to inform design decisions and optimize user experiences.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting to executive stakeholders.Experience working in a collaborative environment with Agile methodologies (preferred).Background in working with AI-powered or data-driven products (preferred).
