Vice President of Product, Identity (Remote)

ID.me simplifies how people securely prove and share their identity online. The company empowers people to control their data through a portable and trusted login, which means they don’t need to create a new password when visiting sites that have the ID.me button.
The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated digital migration for many critical services. Those services require a trusted identity to safeguard against fraud and help ensure people are who they claim to be. With ID.me, login and identity credentials move with people, which can reduce the time and frustration of having to verify at multiple sites and set up multiple passwords.
ID.me is a credential service provider compliant with federal standards for digital identity verification.Â
In addition to helping people control their credentials and data, the company’s “No Identity Left Behind” initiative strives to expand access and inclusion for all people. The company offers multiple pathways to verification – online self-serve, live video chat agents, and in person. ID.me is passionate about building a robust identity network that does not compromise access for traditionally underserved groups.
We are seeking a Vice President of Product who will lead a team of product managers that will be responsible for Product Performance & Execution for our Identity Product portfolio. This person will work closely with the Chief Product Officer and senior leadership in Engineering, Sales, and Member Experience. Making ID.me wallet the best digital wallet by acquiring and storing all user credentials and making them universally accessible and useful.
Domain Skills: identity verification, web-consumer experience, user acquisition and account management, identity fraud, authentication.
The VP of Product enforces ID.me’s culture and ensures alignment between employee behavior and recognition. This person is charged with building and leading a world-class team capable of superb execution at scale within each area of responsibility.Â
Product Leadership
- Develops ID.me’s product line vision and strategy with the Chief Product Officer
- Develops expertise in the various components and policy requirements that drive ID.me’s digital identity products
- Should have excellent Personal Management, Product Leadership and Budgets.
- Evangelizes product goals, initiatives, and progress to the organization and key stakeholders
- Collaborates with cross-functional leaders to ensure the commercial success of ID.me’s products
Personnel Management
- Outstanding interpersonal skills – someone that people love spending time with.Can design an organization, hire a high quality team, and effectively manage team performanceÂ
- Should be someone great managers and ICs will want to follow.
- Must be able to hold the standard and know what great looks like in key roles. Is a manager of managers that can also roll up their sleeves and get work done.
- Can coordinate and influence across execs in other departments. Must be able to influence through logic and high quality reasoning. Should not be afraid of “constructive conflict” with other execs.
- Operates a high-performance organization. Holds high standards, continually synthesizes the situation, able to see risk and around corners, and develops his team.
Product Performance and Execution
- Identifies and defines Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for product line
- Iterates products and features continuously using data and insights
- Measures impact of product enhancements and initiatives. Continuously optimizes product performance over time
- Develops a program plan that incorporates interdependencies between functional areas
- Establishes playbooks to drive process and consistent outcomes for repeated tasks
- Proactively mitigates risk by identifying and controlling internal and external risk factorsÂ
- Conducts market research for expansion into new markets and vertical segments
Budget
- Works with the Chief Financial Officer to develop a bottoms up budget
- Aligns compensation and incentives with desired behaviors
- Responsible for headcount, consulting, prototyping, software, equipment, travel and entertainment, and professional development costs for the Product team
ID.me Covid Vaccination Requirement
ID.me has a mandatory vaccination requirement where not prohibited by applicable federal or state law.
All current and future employees are required to receive their COVID-19 vaccinations, unless a reasonable accommodation is approved. Employees not in compliance with this policy will be placed on leave and will be terminated if no valid reason for not getting the COVID-19 vaccine is provided. Â

Reasonable Accommodation: Current and future employees in need of an exemption from this policy due to a medical reason, or because of a sincerely held religious belief must submit a completed Request for Accommodation form to the human resources department to begin the interactive accommodation process as soon as possible after vaccination deadlines have been announced (September 13th) and an offer of employment has been made. Accommodations will be granted where they do not cause ID.me undue hardship or pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others.
