YOUR ROLE

As the VP of Provider Strategy, you will be responsible for setting the direction for Thyme Care's partnership approach with oncologists, PCPs, and health systems. Our ability to maximize our members' experience, ensure a truly patient-centric approach, and drive value to our health plan partners depends on our relationships with providers in our markets, including oncologists, primary care physicians (PCPs), and other specialists. This role will report to our CEO and will collaborate closely with all cross-functional leaders at Thyme Care. In this role, you will design winning provider go-to-market strategies, and you'll drive initiatives for potential provider service and technology offerings. You will partner closely with the Director of Provider Growth to incorporate market feedback into the partnership model design and the service offerings. You will also work closely with the network management team to ensure the successful execution of the provider strategy. We believe that if you're able to accomplish the following objectives, you'll be successful in this role:

After your first year in this role, you will...

  • Be up to speed on Thyme Care, our existing provider relationships, our executive team, and our business.
  • Have worked closely with our growth, product, and ops team to refine our value proposition and product market fit for our High Value Aligned Network (HVAN), PCPs (Primary Care Physicians) and other providers based on practice needs and market research
  • Have built our GTM strategy for Thyme’s HVAN, PCP, and other providers. This means you have a plan for how we will expand to multiple new markets. You will:
  • Drive and develop Thyme Care’s provider strategy in collaboration with our operations teams (including Network Operations and Member Experience) for both existing and new markets.
  • Create a framework for value sharing arrangements with our provider partners.
  • Identify new initiatives that Thyme Care can deploy in partnership with providers to deliver incremental value to patients and customers.
  • Create an organizational roadmap for team expansion and ownership verticals, and begin to grow your team.
  • Work closely with our product and strategic initiatives teams to provide insight and guidance as we develop unique Thyme Care offerings to drive value back to providers and implement value-based and risk-based models.

WHAT LEADS TO SUCCESS

  • Act with our members in mind. Thyme Care’s mission, and in particular our member experience, matters deeply to you.
  • Move with purpose. You’re biased to action. You know how to identify and prioritize your initiative’s needs, and do what it takes to ensure that urgent and important needs are acted on immediately.
  • Seek diverse perspectives. You are humble and proactively seek feedback from others. You’re always looking to learn and grow.
  • Comfort with ambiguity.  You have a proven track record of success within scaling businesses, fast-paced environments, and startups. You understand that rapid changes to the business, strategy, organization, and priorities is par for the course.
  • Effective collaborator. You build rapport and great working relationships with senior leaders, colleagues, investors, and customers to drive business outcomes.
  • Growth-oriented. You have experience leading strategy with providers and are excited to drive growth from the ground up by rolling up your sleeves and getting into the nitty gritty. You know how to navigate large organizations to get in front of the right person, and you know how to deepen and grow relationships that already exist.

OUR VALUES

At Thyme Care, our core values—Act with our members in mind, Move with purpose, and Seek diverse perspectives—guide us in everything we do. They anchor our business decisions, including how we grow, the products we make, and the paths we choose—or don’t choose.

We are committed to promoting the health and well-being of all individuals. As a provider of cancer care navigation, we recognize that those with cancer constitute a vulnerable population at risk of contracting COVID-19.  As such, Thyme Care employees are expected to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as defined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, subject to conflicting laws and exemptions based on medical or religious objections.

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes equity, benefits, and other opportunities at Thyme Care. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, geography, and balancing internal equity relative to other Thyme Care employees. In accordance with New York City law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York City is $180,000-$220,000. The salary range could be lower or higher than this if the role is hired in another location. We also believe that your personal needs and preferences should be taken into consideration so we allow some choice between equity and cash.

We recognize a history of inequality in healthcare. We’re here to challenge the status quo and create a culture of inclusion through the care we give and the company we build. We embrace and celebrate a diversity of perspectives in reflection of our members and the members we serve. We are an equal opportunity employer.
