Position OverviewÂ
The Vice President of Marketing, Shark Robot Vacuums will lead the commercialization and go-to-market strategy for the Shark robotics team. This person will develop the marketing strategies to expand into new categories, foster growth in existing ones, and support execution for global markets. This person will work closely with cross functionals teams to develop and drive the marketing plan including media, communications, assortments, and channels strategy while managing launches occurring on time across all channels and markets.Â
ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Build and lead the marketing organization to build and ensure execution of all go to market plans including product marketing positioning across all consumer touch points (Full Funnel Integrated Marketing Communications)Â
- Work with sales and category management for sell-in strategy, retailer placement, and channel management across key launchesÂ
- Communicate and review all commercialization strategies with the executive team, present insights, and recommendations, and align on a path forwardÂ
- Own product roadmap with engineering to ensure long term growth across new and adjacent categoriesÂ
- Lead and mentor a team of brand marketers to implement on-time and on-brand execution of all key initiatives, campaigns, and deliverablesÂ
- Develop and execute brand guidelines to ensure a cohesive brand experience across all potential internal and external audience touchpointsÂ
- Develop consumer insights to not only ideate new products but also to optimize the products throughout the commercialization process; lead innovation testing to prove out ideas with consumers.Â

- Extensive new product development marketing experience.Â
- Extraordinarily comfortable working at a fast pace, iterative, and progress vs. perfection mindsetÂ
- Leading and building global teamsÂ
- Ability to think creatively and strategicallyÂ
- Strong communication skills and ability to make effective presentations to all levels of managementÂ
- Ability to synthesize complex product features into compelling and desirable consumer benefitsÂ
- Broad spectrum of marketing skills, defining strategies, building plans, driving product launches, and front-end innovation managementÂ
- Ability to connect the dots and think at a holistic and strategic level across the businessÂ
- Influencing, conflict resolution, and creative problem-solving.Â
- Comfortable mining and analyzing data and drawing conclusionsÂ
- Project management and ability to manage several projects in parallel, navigating a complex cross-functional matrixÂ
- Biased toward action, roll up your sleeves and get it done togetherÂ
QualificationsÂ
- Minimum of 15+ years of prior Marketing experience required, preferably with direct responsibility for Brand strategy, messaging, commercialization, and P&L managementÂ
- Deep experience in CPG marketing.Â
- Experience in managing, building, and growing teams in a global contextÂ
- Experience leveraging consumer insights to develop effective marketing programs and campaignsÂ
- Experience in creative strategy development, advertising and launching new productsÂ
- Experience in launching products globally across several different marketsÂ
- Bachelor’s required and MBA preferredÂ
